How it works
The Vault
You deposit HYPE. It is staked into kHYPE. Ichor keeps two counters for you: your principal, and the yield that has accrued on it. The principal can be withdrawn at any time.
The Paymaster
When you send a transaction through Ichor, the gas is paid for you and the exact cost is debited from your accrued yield. It works on any Elysium application: DEXes, launchpads, perps, anything. If your yield is exhausted, the transaction is declined — unless Vein is on.
Vein
An optional switch. When enabled, Ichor may use your principal for gas once your yield runs out. Off by default. Your principal is never touched while Vein is off.
Drip
Applications can sponsor gas for their users. A campaign is a HYPE budget plus rules: which contracts it covers, how many transactions per wallet, how much gas per transaction. Users of that app see “gas offered by <app>” and pay nothing — not even yield.
Sequencer rebate
Elysium plans to return a share of sequencer revenue to the builders whose applications drive usage of the chain. If the gas Ichor pays is attributed to Ichor, that rebate flows back to the vault and lowers the effective cost of gas for everyone. This is treated as an upside, not as part of the base model, until the attribution mechanism is confirmed.
